This stainless steel instrument is designed to help determine if adequate osseointegration has taken place between the implant body and the surrounding bone. Along with other tests, the torque wrench is another tool to evaluate implant stabilization. After removing the healing cap, perform preliminary tests on osseointegration such as normal healing time, freedom from pain, radiographs, and percussive testing. Place the implant driver into the internal recess of the implant body. Next place the Torque Wrench square hole fully over the top of the driver with the arrow head onto the testing arm pointing in a clockwise direction. Adequate osseointegration has occurred if the arrow tip can be moved until it touches the straight arm without the implant moving.
