The Cap Tool is used to place the healing cap and emergence
profiler if desired. Cap Tools come in two lengths for different
locations in the mouth. The cap tool features a large rounded
head for easy holding and threading of the shaft into the
healing cap. A floss groove for safe retrieval if unintentionally
dropped into the mouth. And a micro-threaded end that screws
into and out of the healing cap that that been pressure fit
into the hex recess of the implant. In the subsequent removal
of the pressure fit healing cap, be sure to slightly turn
the cap clockwise 1/8 turn for easy removal rather than just
straight out. Use the floss!
The healing cap is placed into and through the emergence profile
and then pressure fit into the hex recess of the implant thereby
holding the profile securely to the implant.
