This milled post and core is made of extremely strong 6AL4V Titanium alloy. It is the intermediate fixation part between the osseointegrated implant and the crown prosthesis. The patented design allows the laboratory to compensate for implant angles of up to 20 degrees. It is easily altered by the dentist or laboratory as dictated by the implant position in the mouth site to allow for seating, draw and fixation of the prosthesis. The male octaganal stem beneath the seating base has a tapered end and cement holding rings.

Unlike other implants systems, the post and core is cemented into the implant fixture and the crown is cemented on top of the post and core. This makes restoration of the implant as simple as conventional crown and bridge work.

This piece is sent to the lab along with the transfer impression, analog and Castable post and core of Delrin if the angle of the implant is too severe for the prefabricated core alteration (this seldom happens).
