What is a Model Tomographic?
To keep the associated costs of implant placement as low as possible, Basic Dental Implants has developed a most unique and proprietary implant placement aid.  The Model Tomographic(SM) visibly gives us information about the Buccal-Lingual aspect of the proposed implant site.  This aid allows us to evaluate the useable bone volume from a width as well as directional standpoint.
The Model TomographicTM is a unique, proprietary, laboratory procedure and product that provides the dentist with an actual cross-sectional model aid of the proposed implant ridge site to better determine the appropriateness of the site for implant placement.  It is a reliable and inexpensive alternative to CAT Scans or Tomography.
The procedure provides:
  1. An actual articulated quadrant or full arch X-sectional model of the proposed implant ridge site from the buccal-lingual or facial-palatal aspect.
  2. A visual model of the soft tissue and usable bone volume present in this proposed site for implant placement.
  3. A physical model aid to help accurately determine the implant size, position, and placement direction utilizing the Omni-TightTM   silhouette P.A. Film Overlay.
